Arrangements to complete a 1:300 site model immediately after the submission of the final thesis book on 2022 May 13 were disrupted by the vandalism of the 1:100 model for the temple. As shocking and disappointing of an experience as it was, the relinquishing of all mental and emotional investment which it provoked would offer the reprieve and distance/detachment needed to plan and complete the model months later. Not only did this gift of time allow for working through strategies for this completion (I still did not know how I wished to finish the model, what materials to use, how I wanted to address questions of representation and atmosphere), but, no longer bound by the physical existence of the temples model, I felt an ease with which I could re-approach its design - a design with which I still felt great dissatisfaction.
